Rosier Cour intérieure
Welcome to our home! We are Jatin and Laurence , the proud owners of the Presbytery of Sévigny for over twenty years. Our adventure is one of a shared passion for old stones, hospitality, and sharing. Located on the border of the Ardennes and the Aisne , our guesthouse is the result of a long history of resilience and rebirth.
It all started in 2003, when we fell in love with this building, which was then in ruins. The challenge was immense: to save the building by urgently repairing the roof, then to undertake a meticulous renovation, carried out largely by ourselves with the invaluable help of the family.
Today, the Presbytery of Sévigny has regained its former soul while offering modern comforts.
Curious to see the before/after? Discover the incredible transformation of the premises in our blog post dedicated to the [Renovation of the Presbytery].

1. How long has the Presbytery of Sévigny been a guest house?
We acquired the building in 2003 and, after extensive renovations to save this heritage, we have been welcoming travellers for over 13 years now, sharing with them the story of this rebirth.
2. Can Jatin help us book tours of Champagne cellars?
Absolutely. Drawing on his experience as a former guide at Veuve Clicquot, Jatin knows the vineyards inside and out. He'll be delighted to recommend the best Champagne houses to visit in and around Reims, according to your preferences.
3. What languages do you speak at the Presbytery?
In addition to French, we speak English (Jatin is of Indian origin and we receive many international tourists) and have some knowledge of German and Italian.
4. Do you offer meals prepared on site?
We offer gourmet platters of fine charcuterie and/or cheeses from our artisan cheesemaker (€20 per person) with an additional option for a dessert (€5 per person).
For groups of 4 or more, we offer a 3-course set menu featuring local specialties cooked "homemade" (such as Rethel white pudding, Maroilles tart, Reims pink biscuits or homemade nougat glacé).
We also offer a Champagne aperitif (€25 for 2 people).
5. Is the establishment suitable for nature lovers?
Absolutely. Laurence, a passionate ornithologist, has designed the garden to encourage biodiversity (old roses, perennials). It's an ideal birdwatching spot and a haven of peace for those who love the countryside.
